Would you like to be enlisted in The Fed-Up One Thousand?
As many of you know, I have concluded that Mayor Ragsdale is seriously derelict in his duties to the County, exacerbated by many documented and rumored (but undenied) insults. I also conclude that our very existence as a viable community is threatened by past and pending results of his ineptitude, and that fiscal bankruptcy is imminent. It seems evident that no official body is willing to take strong, meaningful action. Therefore, I reluctantly decided to initiate a formal request to Knox County Commission to force his resignation. I attempted to present the peteition to the Commission on May 27, 2008. Resonse (from the commission) was underwhelming. Response from the community, on the other hand, was fantastic! Emails and phone calls a'plenty have been coming in.
We have decided to continue collecting petition signatures. Sign it at your earliest convenience, and (if you are willing) ask some of your trusted friends to do likewise. Timing is of the essence. Please hurry, and call or email me to arrange delivery of your signed petition. Next time, I would like to take 1000 signatures to the Commission. Let me hear from you, by email, phone, or regular mail. This is a very serious step, and I expect you will want to consider and pray over it before moving.
